WCSA proudly presents the 2nd Annual WCSA State of Industry Report Highlights
We invite all industry stakeholders to partake in their event, which will showcase our importance and the size of our channel nationally, as well as regionally in western Canada and the North. We represent ALL retailers in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut! The Western provinces, particularly BC and Alberta continue to show strong economic and demographic growth as we emerge from the longer than expected Global economic downturn

- 2010 was an introduction to the asset of proximity – to consumers, to distributors and to manufacturers. And wherever development occurred we were there !

Western Convenience Stores Association
The Western Convenience Stores Association (WCSA) was founded as a not-for-profit organization in January of 2002 to provide leadership for the industry on key issues affecting owners, operators, employees and customers in western Canada. WCSA represents over 7,000 retailers and stakeholders. The board is currently made up of retailers, distributors, manufacturers providing experience from the oil, gas, carwash and retail community.We are the F.A.C.E. of the C – Store channel with municipal, provincial and federal governments as we Facilitate, Advocate, Communicate and Educate ALL retailers whether regulations or legislation to train test and certify all responsible convenience retailers in Western Canada WCSA is working on ongoing and new issues and files on your behalf :
- Taxation impacts like HST in BC in 2010.-its impact on other provinces and benefits.
- Focus on healthier choices offered in our stores – sugar,sodium, caloric content
- Beer and wine sales in convenience stores – surveys, data from QC and USA
- working alone regulations, tests, consultation progress – Retail Safety ; SHSP Guides
